The AME Church has always been a place where Black people could hear the truth spoken without apology. That tradition continues here. We curate and share news, analysis, and civic information from sources our community can trust — independent Black press, vetted civil rights organizations, and credible journalists committed to accuracy and accountability.
We encourage every congregation to become a news sanctuary — a place where members can find reliable information about:
Voting rights — court decisions, legislation, registration deadlines, and threats to the ballot
Civic and political updates — what is happening in Washington, in your state capitol, and in your city hall
Social justice — police accountability, housing, healthcare, education, and economic equity
AME and faith community news — what the connection is doing, saying, and standing for
